I curated and organized a multi-author giveaway on Instagram featuring paperback fantasy novels from eight authors. Multi-author giveaways are a fun way to cross-promote your books, connect with new readers, and build relationships with other authors.
The biggest key is partnering with authors who write for a similar audience. For our giveaway, every book:
- Was a work of speculative fiction.
- Featured closed-door romance or a PG-13 content level.
That way, readers who were interested in one book were more likely to enjoy the others as well. It also helps social media algorithms learn who is most likely to engage with your content.
By the end of the giveaway, I had gained 20+ new followers and made some wonderful new author connections. For me, that made the collaboration well worth it.
