Want to make your book shine? Professional editing is key to transforming a good manuscript into a polished, compelling story. There are three main types of editing authors use:
Developmental Editing (Big Picture)
Focuses on the overall structure of your story such as plot, pacing, character development, world-building, and theme. This stage addresses major issues like plot holes, weak character arcs, or sections that may need to be revised or removed.
Line Editing (Style & Flow)
Concentrates on sentence and paragraph-level writing. This includes improving clarity, tone, pacing, and flow while maintaining your unique voice. Line editing enhances readability and strengthens the overall impact of your prose.
Copy Editing (Technical Polish)
The final stage of editing, focusing on grammar, spelling, punctuation, and consistency. This ensures your manuscript is clean, professional, and ready for publication.
